A message from President McCorn

Greetings Alumni and Friends,

I am reaching out to you today with an important and heartfelt appeal. During my short tenure at Paine, I have witnessed the enduring love and support that you have shown for this great institution.

This year has presented us with an unexpected financial challenge. Due to a combination of unforeseen circumstances, including the aftermath of Hurricane Helene that devastated Augusta, Georgia, and the campus, we utilized operating funds to mitigate the damages. According to the Insurance Adjusters, the College sustained over $5 million in damage. We continue to wait for the Insurance Company and FEMA to distribute funds to cover these damages.

Now, we need your support to help sustain regular operations, provide critical services for our students, and of course meet payroll and essential services for the entire campus.

I am asking 250 alumni and friends to donate $1,000 immediately. This will help us reach an immediate goal of $250,000. You may give online via , , , or contact Helene Carter in the Institutional Advancement Office at (706) 821.8323 , (803) 664.0080, or via hcarter@paine.edu.

Thank you for your continued loyalty and generosity. We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress and hope we can count on your support during this critical time.

With deep appreciation – PC1X
